Inland AV requires a full-time Audiovisual Installation Technician. The AV Installation Technician needs to be experienced with working with tools, reading equipment manuals and understanding blueprints. The work entails the installation of commercial audiovisual systems such as AV control systems, projectors, screens, monitors & video walls, videoconferencing systems and audio systems. This would also include the commissioning of AV systems.

 

Essential Duties:

 

- Perform comprehensive, onsite audio-visual equipment installation for our clients, including low voltage wiring, trim-out, equipment rack setup, television, projectors and projection systems, media rooms, audio hardware and speakers, control systems.

 

- Perform cable pull paths, diagnosis structural/room interior for efficient and optimum installations, crimp and terminate audio and video cables

 

- Install Extron and QSC like control systems

 

- Install video conferencing system

 

- Assist with structural installation of displays, screens and projectors

 

- Maintain daily communication with Lead Installation Technician, Account Managers and Installation Manager on status of projects and task lists

 

- Travel to off-site corporate locations as part of system installation is required

 

- Participate in industry training sessions, seminars and conventions is required

 

- Maintain professional work appearance and outstanding customer interaction

 

Qualifications

 

- Must be able to lift 50 lbs of weight

 

- Must be able to work on ladders, scaffold and lifts

 

- Experience with use of power hand tools

 

- Experience with low voltage electrical systems is an asset

 

- Audio, video and data experience is an asset

 

- Ability to read basic blue prints and plans is an asset

 

- Good problem solving abilities

 

- Must be able to communicate via email, cell phone and text

 

- Good personal presentation and customer service skills

 

- A valid driver's license is required.

 


 

Most work will be within the hours of 8 am - 5 pm. The work hours can vary depending on the client's availability so some evenings and weekends may be required. Occasional overnight travel will be required.
