The Zellers location at Polo Park hosted a series of special events at the Polo Park Centre Court. The events included a fashion show, interior design experts Colin & Justin and a cooking demonstration by Roger Mooking from the Food Network Canada's Everyday Exotic. Inland AV designed and built the set and naturally provided the audiovisual support for the three events.
The fashion show and interior design presentations were relatively straight-forward. They required a clean back drop, a few props such as the two and an audio system to provide background music and wireless microphones for the presenters. The Roger Mooking cooking demonstration set was a challenge as it required a full working kitchen with running hot and cold water set up on the portable stage.
Robert Collings and the Winnipeg Rentals department put their creative minds to work and developed a CAD illustration of what the stage set and kitchen could look like. After the client approved the illustration Inland AV went to work bringing the concept to reality. The illustration below depicts the clean backdrop that was in place for each of the events.
