David McFadyen, Director of Business Development for Librestream presented the first of three seminars at the January 23, 2009, New Frontier of AV event in Winnipeg. David described the company's vision of providing complete Mobile Collaboration systems to connect mobile workers with internal experts.
He noted that room-based video conferencing solutions are readily accepted in the market, but this type of video conferencing is focused on the four walls of board rooms and executive offices. "What about the rest of the enterprise?" he asked. "What about connecting people working in industries like Manufacturing, Healthcare and Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul, where people are working outside of meeting rooms?" David suggested "These mobile workers are looking for help from experts and specialists to solve problems, communicate issues and get training to help them on the factory floor, in a repair hanger or in a remote nursing station. The connection of these physical workers is where we focus. We are the first company to deliver a truly mobile collaboration system to meet the needs of these physical workers."
While room-based video conferencing systems are needed, the Librestream vision goes beyond the physical walls and extends the rich video collaboration throughout the enterprise. The patented Onsight Mobile Collaboration System provides a rich collaboration experience, which includes live video, 2-way audio and 2-way telestration. With Onsight, customers can make better decisions faster, speed up manufacturing and design, improve patient / doctor service and clinical outcomes, and carry out repair and overhaul operations in a fraction of the time and expense previously required. It all adds up to a real and unmatched return on investment based on improved revenue, enhanced customer satisfaction and truly significant savings.
The Onsight Mobile Collaboration System was available for demonstration at the Librestream booth with delegates getting a hands-on feel for the Onsight Mobile Collaboration System.
