PCU Centre in Portage la Priairie

Sound Mapping and Visual Audio Design

Knowing that you have a problem with your sound system is one thing, but deciding how to fix it is another story. That is what the Portage Regional Recreation Authority, better known as PCU Centre in Portage la Prairie, recently experienced prior to hosting the 2015 RBC Cup tournament.

“Our old audio system had speech intelligibility issues” said David Sattler, PCU Centre, General Manager “and with the RBC Cup tournament we needed to fix the problems. The Sound Mapping identified the problem areas and determined the best solution. It gave me the confidence that the issues would be resolved.”

Inland Audio Visual demonstrated graphically with Sound Mapping what the existing system was doing (Before) and what the design fix was going to deliver (New Design).

“Sound mapping enables an audio design to be tested prior to installation so the system can be designed effectively and efficiently.” stated Barry Carr, Inland AV Design Technician, “Equipment and installation can be costly so it is great to know the equipment investment and the design will deliver before we order the equipment.”

If you have a problematic audio system and get consistent nagging complaints like “I can’t understand what is being said”, “it’s too loud”, or “it’s not loud enough”, give Inland AV a call for an analysis of your system.
